MFR is a tool used to hydrate the body's tissues and mobilize some adhesions that are a bit stuck in place from lifestyles, job requirements, poor movement/body mechanics, genetics, injuries etc.  Myofascial release does not necessarily make the changes that give your body more efficient movement resulting in a pain free lifestyle; but we would say it opens the door to that as a possibility through proper application of FP methods to retension the body out of the former hyperflaccid state.
